A recent re-draft of the first round from the 2023 NFL Draft class has first overall pick Bryce Young going…nowhere on day one.
Chris Trapasso of CBS Sports re-drafted the entire first round of the 2023 NFL Draft, with current Houston Texans star quarterback C.J. Stroud (the No. 2 pick) going first overall to the Carolina Panthers.
Incredibly, Trapasso didn’t put Young anywhere in the first round re-draft. He even had the Texans taking Will Levis (the No. 33 pick via the Tennessee Titans) with the No. 2 selection instead of Young.
Young had a miserable rookie season in Carolina, completing only 59.8 percent of pass attempts for 2,877 yards and 11 touchdowns against 10 interceptions. He went 2-14 as a starter, and the Panthers finished with football’s worst record for the first time in 13 years.
Carolina gave up their 2024 first-round pick to the Chicago Bears as part of the package for the No. 1 pick in last year’s draft. With the Panthers finishing 2-15, Chicago owns the No. 1 pick in April’s 2024 Draft.
