So much for D.J. Moore being a key piece to the Carolina Panthers’ rebuild…
It was recently reported that the Panthers were not expected to trade the 25-year-old star wide receiver, but it appears as though things have changed overnight. And with Christian McCaffrey and Robby Anderson out the door, rumor has it that Moore will be next.
Reports are now stating that the team is “expected” to trade their first-round pick from 2018, according the NBC Sports.
The list of possible suitors should be extensive, with the Kansas City Chiefs and Green Bay Packers expected to be at the very top. Both teams are in desperate need of some wide receiver help (especially the Packers), so they should be willing to give up a king’s ransom to acquire the former Maryland star.
Through six games this year, DJ Moore has struggled to get anything going in an anemic Panthers offense. He has just 20 receptions for 204 yards and one touchdown. This comes after three straight seasons of over 1,100 yards for the six-foot, 210-pound pass-catcher.
If he does get moved before the November 1st deadline, you can fully expect Moore to regain that elite form we’re sued to seeing from him.
