We now know who the Carolina Panthers will be taking with the No. 1 overall draft pick.
On Wednesday, the team sent every important person they had to Columbus for C.J. Stroud’s Pro Day. That crew included new quarterbacks coach Josh McCown.
Once Stroud was done, Stroud and McCown chatted about playing a game of “HORSE.” That is when McCown slipped up in what he said to the young QB.
“Maybe when you live in Charlotte we’ll find a court,” McCown appeared to say.
The 2023 NFL Draft got its first major shakeup when the Chicago Bears agreed to trade the first overall pick to the Carolina Panthers. The Panthers did so in exchange for four draft picks and wide receiver DJ Moore.
Carolina ultimately wanted the top pick because it gave it the most options. It appears they know exactly who they want.

This will be the third time the Panthers have had the top pick. The last time was in 2011 when they selected Auburn’s Cam Newton, who went on to win the 2015 MVP and lead Carolina to the Super Bowl.
