Cam Newton announced on Monday that he would be participating in Auburn’s Pro Day on Tuesday, throwing in front of NFL scouts as he attempts to make a return to the league.
He made this announcement with a fiery video.
“Tell me how these randoms keep getting jobs,” he said in a video posted to social media. “Ain’t 32 motherf—ers better than me.”
Newton did not speak to members of the media after his session on Tuesday.
The fact that he brought up 32 quarterbacks not being better than him leads everybody to believe that he wants to start.
Pacman Jones isn’t so sure he is a starter n the NFL at this point of his career. The former NFL cornerback said on “The Pat McAfee Show” Tuesday that he had a conversation with Newton and asked him if he’d be willing to be a backup.
“I think that’s the biggest question with Cam right now. Will he be willing to be a backup? I don’t know,” Jones said.
