Packers fans are looking for just about anything to make them feel better after reports surfaced stating Aaron Rodgers no longer wanted to play for the team anymore.
Details about the growing rift between the Green Bay Packers and star quarterback Aaron Rodgers continue to surface almost daily and, according to one report this week, the Packers tried to mend the relationship by offering to make Rodgers the highest-paid quarterback in the NFL. Sources told The Athletic that the Packers have made an offer in recent months to make Rodgers the NFL’s highest-paid quarterback.
With each new report, it appears his concern with the franchise has very little to do with money.
Something may be in the works, because Fox 11 local news reporter Ryan Wing ignited interest among the fan base when he said that Rodgers was actually spotted in Green Bay, a place he never really comes back to during the offseason.

In the end, it was too good to be true:
The rift between Rodgers and the team surfaced in 2020 when the Packers drafted Jordan Love with their first-round draft pick that year instead of addressing Rodgers’ need for an offensive weapon. Recent reports say the pivotal moment for Rodgers was when general manager Brian Gutekunst released receiver Jake Kumerow after the 2019 season shortly after the veteran quarterback shared his praise for the wideout.
The reigning NFL MVP is reportedly willing to stay away from offseason activities, hold out of training camp and possibly even retire.
