The Green Bay Packers are coming off a season in which Aaron Rodgers won he MVP after leading the team to an NFC Championship game appearance, yet the team is worst off months later with the QB not wanting to return back to the only team he has ever called his own.
According to a new report from Saturday, the only way Rodgers would return back to the Packers is if general manager Brian Gutekunst is sent packing.
Head coach Matt LaFleur finds himself caught in the middle. In his post-NFL Draft press conference, he was pretty honest about the situation.
“I can’t even take my brain to that spot right now,” he said, when asked about the possibility of Aaron Rodgers leaving. “I just want to do everything in my power to ensure that doesn’t happen.”
“I don’t only love the player, I love the person,” he added, per Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette. “I love working with him on a daily basis.”

Losing Rodgers would turn a Super Bowl contending team to one that likely wouldn’t even sniff the playoffs in the NFC.
