Green Bay Packers star quarterback Aaron Rodgers has been a giant subject of trade rumors over the past few weeks, and he hasn’t tried shying away from them in the slightest.
Rodgers signed a three-year contract extension worth $150.8 million last offseason. But Green Bay missed out on the postseason following a stunning Week 18 home loss to the Detroit Lions, and Rodgers’ name has popped up aplenty in the trade rumor ever since.
During the Pebble Beach Pro-Am golf tournament on Saturday, Rodgers sounded off on the trade rumors in an interview with Amanda Balionis. There, the four-time league MVP revealed that the Las Vegas Raiders are “the predominant team” he’s been hearing while walking.
The Raiders will trade or release longtime starter Derek Carr this offseason. They were linked to Tom Brady, but the seven-time Super Bowl champion announced his retirement on Wednesday.
So the Raiders need a quarterback, and the 39-year-old Rodgers might be intrigued by the idea of reuniting with superstar wideout Davante Adams. For now, let the A-Rod trade speculation continue…
