Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers made headlines on Tuesday when he explained his upcoming plan on “The Pat McAfee Show.”
Rodgers has yet to make a decision on his football future. While speaking to McAfee, Rodgers detailed that he plans to undergo a darkness retreat, in which he’ll spend four days inside a house all by himself. The four-time league MVP will use the alone time to think over his playing future.
Former Kansas City Chiefs star offensive lineman Mitchell Schwartz shared his thoughts on Rodgers’ plans for a darkness retreat, claiming it’s strange that the team isn’t “consulting more” with its franchise quarterback.
Rodgers saw Schwartz’s tweet and had a classy response to the criticism over his upcoming retreat.

Rodgers signed a three-year contract extension with the Packers worth $150.8 million last offseason, seemingly keeping him with the franchise for life. But trade rumors surrounding Rodgers have picked up in recent weeks, and he hasn’t stated if it’ll be Packers or retirement in 2023.
There would be no shortage of teams interested in a generational talent like Rodgers. All four teams in the NFC South need a starting quarterback. The Las Vegas Raiders have an opening as they prepare to move on from Derek Carr, and the playoff-hopeful New York Jets could use a guy like Rodgers to elevate their offense.
After winning back-to-back league MVP awards, Rodgers and the Packers finished a disappointing 8-9 and missed out on the postseason altogether. Have we already witnessed his final NFL snap? Or just his last as a Packer? Or is the answer “no” to both?
Stay tuned.
