By now, you’ve seen the horrific play where New Orleans Saints WR Tommylee Lewis was decleted from catching a football that was nowhere near him by the time Los Angeles Rams cornerback Nickell Robey-Coleman delivered a helmet-to-helmet hit on him.
Even Coleman agreed that he committed a penalty, but still the Saints are left to hold on to this loss and watch the Rams compete against the Patriots in the Super Bowl in Atlanta.
Following the game, A Saints fan took to Change.org and created a petition to get a rematch of the NFC Title game scheduled for next week.
It reads as:
Refs missed a blatant pass interference call against the Los Angeles Rams late in fourth quarter of Jan. 20 NFC Championship game, possibly costing New Orleans Saints a trip to the SuperBowl. Due to refs’ inability to properly officiate at the game, we the undersigned want a re-match against L.A. on Sunday, Jan. 27. It’s the only fair solution to this travesty of epic proportions.
