On the sidelines of Sunday’s game against the Chargers, Olivia Culpo and her boyfriend, running back Christian McCaffrey of the 49ers, gave each other their usual pregame hug. However, this time, it was painful.
The model and actress claimed on Instagram that McCaffrey’s helmet may have hurt her when they hugged prior to the Chargers’ 22-16 victory at Levi’s Stadium.
“I just gave Christian a hug. He was wearing his helmet and I think he just broke my jaw when he came forward and gave me a hug,” she said. “And I have a whole new respect for the game now.”
The couple celebrated their third anniversary in June.
His team won as McCaffrey did have a touchdown in the game to go along with 14 carries for 38 yards. He also had four catches on the night. McCaffrey now has recorded four touchdowns in three games since joining the 49ers.
The All-Pro running back has been great for the team since day one as he became the 11th player in NFL history and the first since 2005 to score touchdowns on the ground, in the air, and through receptions in the same game.

Garoppolo was efficient, going 19 of 28 for 240 yards, and Brandon Aiyuk caught six of those passes for 84 yards to lead the team.
Both teams own the same record heading into Week 11, and will be facing primetime slots.
The Kansas City Chiefs head to SoFi Stadium to take on the Chargers next Sunday night, while the 49ers are the Monday night game against the Arizona Cardinals.
