Minnesota Vikings guard Oli Udoh may need to start using Uber or Lyft soon.
Per KSTP-TV in Minnesota, court documents show that the Vikings’ guard was issued three driving citations in the month of May. Two of the citations were for speeding (both instances took place in St. Paul), including an instance where Udoh was driving 97 MPH in a 55 MPH zone.
The third citation was for reckless driving. In the other speeding incident, documents state that Udoh was driving 64 MPH in a 55 MPH zone, per KSTP-TV:
“On May 25, Udoh received a third traffic citation around 1 p.m. in the afternoon. Court records state Udoh went from the ramp to the far left lane on Hwy 77, driving 64 mph in a 55 mph zone. The ticket alleges Udoh rolled the window up on the State Patrol trooper as he was trying to explain the citation to Udoh.”
The Elon product and 26-year-old Udoh was drafted in the sixth round, 193rd overall, by the Vikings back in 2019. Udoh made 41 game appearances over his first four NFL seasons, making starts in 17 of them.
Earlier this offseason, Minnesota handed Udoh a contract extension. Though he’s mostly used as a backup, Udoh pieced together a strong 2022 season in Minny. Pro Football Focus graded Udoh at 73.6 on the year, and he allowed zero sacks on 132 offensive snaps.
