A tweet from C.J. Stroud posted nearly eight years ago is now going viral as fans believe it’s indicative of the team who will draft the Ohio State quarterback this year.
The college star declared for the NFL draft this Monday, the last day players could make a formal declaration, and is projected to go top-five. Now, it remains to be seen who will be the top QB pick, with Bryce Young of Alabama and Will Levis of Kentucky also in the running.
Back in 2015, Stroud was asked which NFL team was his favorite and his reply was straight to the point.
Now that he’s entered the draft, the possibility of him getting drafted by Seattle is huge. The Seahawks have the No.5 pick for 2023 on the back of them trading Russell Wilson to the Denver Broncos, who completed their season 5-12.
Given that Stroud waited until the last day to declare, there was hope among Buckeyes fans that he might return for another year. However, his decision to go pro comes as no surprise.
Going to the NFL and going top five guarantees the 21-year-old $35 million in his first contract.

“The process has been difficult,” the QB said as part of his announcement, “and the decision, one of the hardest I’ve ever had to make. As a kid, I dreamed of playing football at the highest level and after much prayer, I’ve made the decision that it’s time to turn those dreams into a reality.”
So, Seahawks???
