The New York Jets shocked everybody by hiring Nathaniel Hackett as their offensive coordinator soon after he was fired by the Denver Broncos as head coach because of a terrible 2022 season. There were rumors that his hiring would bring Aaron Rodgers along, but it never worked out.
During the 2020 season, Rodgers stressed how important Hackett was to Green Bay’s success on offense.
“Hackett has been a very important part of our culture change and our success on offense,” Rodgers told reporters back in 2020. “I love him. Hope he doesn’t go anywhere — unless I do.”
That old quote has Jets fans thinking the future hall of fame QB could be making his way to town.

Brett Favre led the Jets to an 8-3 start in 2008, but he hurt his arm and the whole season fell apart. The 2023 Jets are in a similar situation.
Last season, the Jets squandered a 7-4 start and finished three games under .500. The team looked ready to compete except for the fact that they did not have a competent quarterback all year to lead them.
Zach Wilson is not the guy, nor is Mike White or Joe Flacco. The bad man in Green Bay may be that guy, but it will cost the Jets a lot to get him.
To have a chance at winning the Super Bowl, it just might be worth it.
