The Oklahoma Sooners are reeling right now, after news broke that Lincoln Riley is headed out of town and will be signing on with the USC Trojans.
It was a shocking announcement, as Riley had previously been attached to LSU in rumors that surfaced over the weekend:
Riley, has achieved a 55–10 record in five years with the Sooners, reaching the College Football Playoff three times. He finished his 2021 season 10-2, which included a season ending loss to Oklahoma State, 37-33 on Saturday.
Less than hour after that news broke, it was reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter that the program would be targeting Arizona Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury.
Kingsbury has one year remaining on his contract after this season.

After 11 weeks of football, the Arizona Cardinals are atop the NFL standings at 9-2 as they now sit back and enjoy their bye.
In just 11 games, the Cardinals have already tied their 2020 mark.
If the good times continue to roll, Kingsbury will have no reason to leave his current situation.
