O.J. Simpson has been diagnosed with cancer.
The former football star, actor, and acquitted murder defendant was diagnosed with prostate cancer and is currently undergoing chemotherapy in Las Vegas.
The 76-year-old responded to rumors that he had been telling his friends and family that he’s been hearing rumors that he’s in hospice care. He denied that.
According to the American Cancer Society: The relative 5-year survival rate is nearly 100% The relative 10-year survival rate is 98% The 15-year relative survival rate is 91%.
More than 95 percent of cancer patients will survive for at least a year. More than 85 percent of cancer patients will live for at least five years. Almost 80 percent of cancer patients will live for at least ten years after diagnosis.

In what became known as “The Trial of the Century,” Simpson was acquitted in 1995 of the double slayings of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend Ronald Goldman.
He would not escape prison forever as he would be convicted by a jury in Las Vegas and sentenced to prison for leading five men, including two with guns, in a 2007 confrontation with two sports collectibles dealers at an off-strip Las Vegas casino hotel.
Simpson was discharged from parole on Dec. 1, 2021, and has been living in Las Vegas ever since.
