OJ Simpson has said some controversial things before in the past, but he has taken it to the next level with his most recent comments.
New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers will miss the rest of the NFL season with a torn Achilles tendon. The four-time Most Valuable Player sustained the injury just four snaps into his Jets debut which came minutes after he came out of the tunnel holding the American Flag and right before there was a moment of silence for the victims of 9/11.
Although the Jets would go on to upset the Buffalo Bills, the Rodgers injury still hung a cloud over what was supposed to be a prosperous season for the franchise.
NFL legend OJ Simpson recently got interviewed about the Jets and he made a terrible comparison about the Rodgers injury and 9/11.
“9/11 is just a bad day for New York.”
Not cool, but it was made even worse by the people laughing with him.

In the meantime, Aaron Rodgers will be 40 in December and his NFL future may now be in doubt.
Zach Wilson, the second overall pick in the 2021 NFL draft who was benched last season, is New York’s backup quarterback and replaced Rodgers against the Buffalo Bills. The Jets went on to win 22-16 in overtime, with Wilson throwing one touchdown and one interception, but their victory was heavily overshadowed by the injury.
There had been high hopes for the Jets since trading for Rodgers.
The Jets were looking to get to the playoffs for the first time since 2010 and Rodgers was looking to get back to the Super Bowl since winning it all in 2011. Both dreams seem to be on the back burner.
