Everything was all good just a week ago for OJ Howard.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have brought in Rob Gronkowski at tight end and now have a surplus of talent at the position. That has now apparently led to Howard wanting to make his exit from the franchise.
JoeBucsFan.com reported on Thursday that Howard “wants out” of Tampa Bay.
“This doesn’t mean Howard is having a tantrum and demanding a trade, but it does mean Howard is over the Bucs as least as much as it appears they are over him.”
Howard, who was a first-round pick by the Bucs in 2017, had success during his first 2 years, but had less of a role during the 2019 season under Bruce Arians.
This past season, Howard had 34 receptions for 459 yards and one touchdown.
