Being a fan of the Cincinnati Bengals and Cleveland Brown can be quite detrimental to the fan base’s health. That is a reason why somebody created a petition to make “Bengals/Browns Fans” an official medical marijuana condition and submitted it to the State Medical Board of Ohio.
As expected, being a fan of those two NFL franchises did not meet the condition requirements to purchase medical marijuana, an Ohio medical board committee ruled Wednesday, according to The Cincinnati Enquirer.
The report states the panel met in Columbus and turned down several petitions regarding conditions that could help Ohio residents take advantage of a 2016 law that allowed them to buy marijuana medicinally.
Being a Browns or Bengals fan was one of 28 “conditions” submitted to the State Medical Board during the 2019 petition window:

The Browns haven’t been to the postseason since 2002, while the Bengals haven’t went in the last four years. They actually had a stretch where they made the playoffs seven times in 11 years. Yet, they couldn’t get one playoff victory.
The Bengals might be improving sooner rather than later as they are expected to take Joe Burrow with the #1 overall draft pick in 2020. The Browns are hoping for a quick turnaround after firing head coach Freddie Kitchens after one season.
