Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has been ruled out for Saturday’s regular-season finale against the Pittsburgh Steelers and that is bad news for his bank account.
Instead of playing in the last game of the season to try and reach more incentives, the former All-Pro will rest in Week 18 to stay ready for the postseason as the Ravens have won the AFC North and have secured the number one seed overall.
Beckham Jr. was one of six players that was added to the list of inactives for the matchup against the Steelers and that also includes Lamar Jackson.
The receiver signed a deal this offseason that included $3 million in incentives and this decision will stop him from chasing that money. Odell had previously warned bettors not to put money on his props as he likely knew he would be sat.
His contract was a 1-year deal worth $15 million, but with incentives in the deal that could bring the total value up to $18 million. His incentives were broken up into three different categories: Receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns.
Beckham was five catches ($250,000), two touchdowns ($500,000) and 185 yards ($750,000) away from earning additional bonuses.
The veteran WR has earned $750,000 in total with 35 receptions for 565 yards and three touchdowns through 14 games.

“If it was all up to me itd be no question . I gotta feed my son but that ain’t how life go,” Beckham further commented on the Instagram post.
The Ravens truly have nothing to play for so risking injury for some money would not be smart for the team.
