Odell Beckham Jr. has finally found a new home, having agreed an $18 million deal to join the Baltimore Ravens. And it’s reported he was assured that he would be catching passes from Lamar Jackson before making the decision.
In fact, Jackson is said to have played a role in recruiting the wide receiver.
The above seems a lot easier to believe given Jackson posted a screenshot of a FaceTime session he had with Beckham to Instagram after the announcement. A video of the two players at a club in Miami is also doing the rounds online.
According to Ian Rapoport, OBJ agreed to sign for the Ravens with the understanding that Lamar is going to be the team’s quarterback in 2023.
Jackson’s rocky relationship with Baltimore extends way past this offseason, when the team franchise tagged him on the back of a trade request.
Since then, the player has made his unhappiness public. And it appears there’s a consensus among NFL teams to stay away from him as he hasn’t received a single offer since he was non-exclusively franchise tagged over a month ago.
