Odell Beckham Jr. is not having the type of season that he is accustomed to, having racked up just 57 passes for 805 yards and two touchdowns.
There actually might be a reason to those numbers aside from not being on the same page as QB Baker Mayfield. The Browns WR has battled a “painful sports hernia injury” throughout 2019, according to the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
“[I’ve] been banged up all year since whatever happened in camp,” Beckham said. “Playing through whatever it is, just trying to make it through to Sunday. Any time Sunday comes around, I’m going to give the team everything I have.”
The three-time Pro Bowler has not made a decision whether to undergo surgery in the offseason, per ESPN’s Josina Anderson.
Odell is averaging a career-low 67.1 yards per game in 2019, failing to find the end zone in seven straight weeks from Sept. 22 to Nov. 14.
