Brain injuries can be very complex and it is quite possible for certain symptoms to be delayed, which is why many people were shocked that Tua Tagovailoa was not only discharged from the hospital after his injury but also took a plane ride with the team soon after.
Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who was allowed to return to play on Sunday after an obvious concussion, was on the field Thursday to play against the Bengals and it did not take very long for him to hit his head again. Cincinnati’s Josh Tupou wrapped him up and slammed him violently to the turf.
Tagovailoa immediately flexed his arms and hands unnaturally, which has been called fencing. It’s a response to a more serious brain injury and unconsciousness. He was down on the field before being wheeled off on a stretcher and taken to the hospital for examination.
Tagovailoa was shortly discharged and is expected to fly back to Miami with the team.
Former Buffalo Bills O.J. Simpson had something to say about that as he spoke on his own experiences during a video he posted on Twitter.
The Dolphins said Tagovailoa was conscious and had movement in all his extremities after being taken by stretcher from the field. He was taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

His family was said to be with him.
Tagovailoa departing the game strapped to a stretcher should be more than enough to keep him out for some time.
First comes Tagovailoa’s health, which should always be the primary focus of the team since he is expected to be the franchise player. Sometimes players need to be protected from themselves, and it seems that this might be the case with Tua.
The NFL Players Association is around fro a reason and they need to make sure these players are well protected. Tua’s life will extend wel further than the football field when he’s done.
Multiple shots to the head like this could spell doom. There have been many examples of this over the years.
