O.J. Simpson does not believe Antonio Brown will be hanging up his cleats over a helmet issue.
The Oakland Raiders were just sitting back enjoying a bright, nice and sunny day until ESPN’s Adam Schefter dropped a bombshell of a report on their star wide receiver threatening to retire because he would like to use a special helmet that is no longer permitted by the league.
NFL Network’s Mike Silver then went on to air out all of Brown’s dirty laundry and revealed that this has been a longstanding issue and the team is already growing frustrated with the receiver.
Like everybody else, O.J. Simpson had some thoughts on this topic. The controversial figure basically “BS” on Brown giving up millions of dollars because he can’t have the helmet he has had since he’s been in the league.
“I’m from the generation that’s suffering from CTE, so I understand what the league is trying to do,” said Simpson. “If you’re telling me that he’s willing to give up that kind of money because of the style of the helmet. If you don’t want to go to training camp, don’t, but giving up that money because of the helmet… I call BS.”
Brown is in line to lose out on the entire $30 million guarantee on his contract if he never plays for Oakland.
