The Dallas Cowboys and Miami Dolphins made a notable trade just before the 4:00 p.m. deadline for teams to finalize their 53-man rosters.
Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Cowboys have acquired cornerback Noah Igbinoghene from the Dolphins in exchange for fellow cornerback Kelvin Joseph. Miami was the No. 30 selection of the 2020 NFL Draft.
Miami had a trio of first-round picks in the 2020 NFL Draft. The first one (fifth overall) was used on Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who has emerged as the QB1 this franchise had lacked for two decades.
The second one (18th overall) was used on USC offensive lineman Austin Jackson, who developed into a starter before missing all but two games last season because of injury. And finally, they used the No. 30 pick on the Auburn corner.
Igbinoghene never lived up to expectations in South Beach, appearing 32 games over three seasons with only five starts. Igbinoghene finished with a single interception, five pass defenses and 29 combined tackles as a Dolphin.
