The Eagles have the best record in the NFL after escaping Kansas City with a win over the Chiefs in Monday night’s Super Bowl rematch.
The Eagles have been one of the best teams in football since Nick Sirianni’s arrival as head coach. Players love how real he is and he does not tone it down for anybody.
After the Monday night victory, the Eagles head coach could be seen delivering a two-word message to Chiefs fans as he greeted his fellow Eagles fans who made the trip to Arrowhead Stadium.
“See ya!” the Eagles coach said.
Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes are future Hall of Famers and two-time Super Bowl champs. Sirianni and Hurts may end up matching their credentials someday, but for now, they have just a November victory in head-to-head meetings on their resume.
Hurts finished 14-of-22 with 150 yards passing and rushed for two of the Eagles’ touchdowns on the night. He came up with some clutch moments in the second half, most notably on a 41-yard dime down the right sideline to DeVonta Smith midway through the fourth quarter, setting up Hurts’ go-ahead touchdown run.
