This one was for Frank Reich and Nick Sirianni and he wanted the fans to know about it. Before the Eagles took on the Colts, Sirianni downplayed the emotional impact of returning to the place where he spent three seasons as offensive coordinator under his mentor.
After the Eagles made their comeback and won, those emotions came out as Sirianni found some Eagles fans behind the team’s bench to celebrate with.
Following the game, he was even more emotional speaking about the win and what it meant.
“I’m emotional because I love Frank Reich. I really do,” said Sirianni, who served as Reich’s offensive coordinator in Indianapolis from 2018 to 2020. “He’s one of the best damn football coaches I’ve ever been around. I was hoping that he and I would be able to coach against each other this game. He is one of my biggest mentors.
“You don’t want to know what I think of if he should be here or not, but you guys can probably imagine what I really think. … It was sweet to come here, especially with what happened with this organization the last couple weeks, and get the win. The win. We’re leaving Indianapolis with a win!” – via ESPN
A win against the 4-6-1 Colts isn’t the end goal for an Eagles team that is 9-1 and has the best record in the league, but it was a special win nonetheless.

When the Eagles needed to make big plays, Jalen Hurts came up big. The third-year quarterback went 18 of 25 with 190 yards through the air, throwing for one score early in the fourth quarter to cut the deficit to 13-10, before capping his 16-carry, 86-yard rushing day with the decisive score.
In doing so, the Eagles won their seventh straight road game.
Through 11 weeks of the season, Sirianni’s Eagles have the best record in football at 9-1, tying their win total from the 2021 season.
