Channing Crowder’s behavior in 2005 had then-head coach Nick Saban sprinting out of a room at the team facility.
The former Miami Dolphins linebacker spoke about that moment.
“I brought in a stripper and had her dance for Nick Saban,” Crowder said during this week’s episode of “The Pivot Podcast,” that featured featured JaMarcus Russell, the former Raiders quarterback and first overall pick out of LSU in 2007.
“I brought strippers in the Dolphins’ facility,” continued Crowder, who co-hosts the podcast alongside former safety Ryan Clark and running back Fred Taylor, a 13-year NFL veteran. “She walked in with nothing but a thong on and a Jason Taylor jersey, and she went up there, and Nick Saban was on a chair and she went up and shook it for Nick Saban.
“Nick Saban grabbed her hips, moved her to the side and ran up the stairs.”
Saban was head coach of the Dolphins for two seasons from 2005-06. He won just 15 of 32 games before returning to college as head coach at Alabama, where he has remained since 2007.
