Nick Saban went full Nick Saban when he appeared to do a little recruiting while appearing on the ESPN2 broadcast of “Monday Night Football” with Peyton and Eli Manning.
The Manning brothers were in the midst of hyping up Saban as “quarterback guru,” noting that Jalen Hurts, Tua Tagovailoa and Mac Jones are QB1’s in the NFL. Saban then threw a subtle attempt to recruit Arch Manning.
“I wish I was coaching at Alabama when Peyton and Eli Manning were recruits so you guys could have played for the Tide,” Saban said. “I’d certainly like to coach a member of the Manning family.”
Arch is the No. 1 recruit in the country for the class of 2023, per 247Sports’ Composite rankings.

Saban isn’t the only coach who wants the youngest Manning on his team as the family is also connected with Ole Miss and Tennessee. LSU should be in play too, considering Arch Manning plays out of Isidore Newman High School in New Orleans.
