Adam Schefter reports that free agent CB Richard Sherman was arrested Wednesday morning in Seattle for burglary domestic violence, which is being investigated as a felony. According to Schefter, Sherman was denied bail.

The Burglary Domestic Violence charge is a felony in Washington state and can carry a lengthy prison sentence if he gets convicted.

The 33-year-old has been weighing his options this offseason on what team he wanted to sign to, but his arrest just gave him a major setback.
In 2020, Sherman appeared in five games for the 49ers and recorded 18 tackles, one interception, and a pass defense.
