It’s tough being an NFL WAG. Seeing your partner get hit every weekend is not ideal, but it comes with the territory.
Chanen Johnson, a social media influencer who’s married to New Orleans Saints tight end Juwan Johnson, has recalled a moment that left her wrecked and had her hating football. She was watching from home when Juwan took a hit that left him hurt.
“Worst day ever honestly,” she captioned a recent video from their joint TikTok account in which she struggled to hold back the tears. “Sometimes I hate football. You literally can’t tell, but I’m literally still shaking.
“It has been a wild 30 minutes. I think one of the worst experiences you can have as an NFL wife is literally watching your man slayed down on the field. Oh my gosh, that literally just broke me.”
Chanen did not reveal which game she was referring to but confirmed the TE was okay before filming. Johnson did take a hard hit against the Atlanta Falcons on November 26 and was able to return after being evaluated by doctors.
Given that she was not in attendance, Chahen was left to frantically scroll through social media to find out whether her spouse was okay.
“Tell me why my man is the one lying on the floor of the literal field, not getting up,” she added. “This is what happens when you don’t go to away games.
“He goes into a [medical] tent, right,” she said. “I’m over here refreshing Twitter (now X), which I do not go on Twitter during games. Every [NFL] wife knows, don’t go on Twitter during a football game. People that don’t know football really try and bring you down. I’m refreshing Twitter to find out what the heck is going on.”

Chanen, who also revealed that the pass-catcher had “banged his head,” claims to have called him several times. Of course, he wasn’t able to pick up.
