Are you ready for some Saturday football???
Moments ago, the NFL announced some major changes to week 15 of their 2022 schedule, including a change to the Sunday Night Football contest, and a decision on which three games will headline their first Saturday slate of the season.
To kick things off, the league revealed that they could be bumping the Las Vegas Raiders-New England Patriots game from Sunday Night Football, and replacing it with a critical NFC East battle between the Washington Commanders and New York Giants. As a result, the Raiders-Patriots game will now be played at 4:05 pm ET.
And that’s not all!
The league continued their big announcement by revealing the three games that will take place on Saturday, December 17. The action will kick off in Minnesota at 1:00 pm ET, when the Vikings host the Indianapolis Colts. Next up, at 4:30 pm, it’s the Baltimore Ravens visiting the Cleveland Browns in a battle of AFC North foes. And to end the night in epic fashion, we get a marquee matchup between AFC East powerhouses when the Miami Dolphins travel to Buffalo to take on the Bills at 8:15 pm ET.
The NFL’s decision to flex the Sunday Night Football contest was probably a lot easier after the Patriots lost to the Bills on Thursday night, dropping them to 6-6 following two straight losses. The Raiders have been on a roll with three straight wins, but they too are just 5-7 on the season—two games back of the final wild card spot in the AFC.
