The NFL community has come together to pray for the health and well-being of Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin.
The second-year defensive back suffered a horrifying injury when he was hit in the chest on a tackle, causing him to suffer cardiac arrest on the field. CPR was administered and medics were able to get Hamlin’s heart started again before intubating him and transporting him to a local hospital.
However, the 24-year-old is still said to be in critical condition at the UC Medical Center. Hamlin’s family has informed the public that Damar is still “fighting” and they’re asking for the prayers and support of everyone right now.
Every NFL team heard that message, and together they’ve all changed their Twitter profile image to the same photo that reads “Pray For Damar” with the number three, as a mutual showing of support for their brother.
