NFL fans couldn’t help but poke some jokes at the “first look” photo of Los Angeles Rams’ rookie quarterback Stetson Bennett.
The Rams selected the ex-Georgia Bulldogs’ star quarterback in the fourth round (128th overall) in last month’s NFL Draft. Bennett will serve as a backup to Matthew Stafford, who’s entering his third season with the organization.
On Sunday, the Rams posted two photos of Bennett in his new uniform.
Needless to say, Twitter was full of jokes after the Rams showed Bennett in his new uniform. Here are some of the funniest reactions we came across.

Indeed, Bennett isn’t that young compared to other rookie quarterbacks. Bennett will turn 26 years of age on Oct. 28. To put it into perspective, Lamar Jackson won an MVP award in his age-22 season for the Baltimore Ravens, and Patrick Mahomes was a Super Bowl champion before his 25th birthday.
Bennett won the Manning Award and Burlsworth Trophy in his final season with the Bulldogs last year, helping them win back-to-back national championships. Bennett was one of 10 Georgia players (tied with Alabama for the most players taken in 2023) drafted this year.
Stafford was shut down late in the 2022 season with a spinal cord contusion. The 35-year-old finished the year with a 68.0 completion percentage for 2,087 yards and 10 touchdowns against eight interceptions.
With Stafford out, the Rams used three different quarterbacks in Baker Mayfield, John Wolford and Bryce Perkins. Along with Stafford, Bennett, veteran Brett Rypien and rookie Dresser Winn are the other quarterbacks on the Rams’ depth chart.
