With the 2023 NFL regular season officially over, as fans we begin to think who our favorite NFL team will sign.
Each NFL offseason offers up a frenzy of free agency. Some years are less wild than others, but there are always big names out on the market. Contract talks. Rumors. Fans waiting to see who their franchise will sign.
The 2024 offseason will have its share of stars available as teams look to improve their rosters through the free agent pool. It’s possible that most major names stay put on their current teams, but speculation for the sake of speculation is a must on the internet.
This is all speculation. Lets take a look at the 10 NFL Players With Expiring Contracts: Where Will They Sign?
ODELL BECKHAM JR. – HOUSTON TEXANS
Maturity issues followed Odell Beckham Jr. in the early years of his career, but it was obvious from his time with the Los Angeles Rams that his attitude had changed. Now with the Baltimore Ravens, Beckham is reminding the league that he is still a threat on offense.
With Beckham going back into free agency this offseason, the Houston Texans should take a look at him. C.J. Stroud is emerging as a star, and a veteran presence like Beckham will provide mentorship and a reliable pass option.

DERRICK HENRY – BUFFALO BILLS
The Tennessee Titans have relied on Derrick Henry to carry a heavy load throughout his career. The scariest runner in the NFL, Henry plays smash-mouth football. No gimmicks, just gains. The kind of player opposing teams fear in the red zone.
If Henry’s time with the Titans ends after this season, the Buffalo Bills would be a good fit for him. Josh Allen plays a similar style of smash-mouth football, and the Bills would benefit from having Allen and Henry available near the goal line.
MIKE EVANS – GREEN BAY PACKERS
As the Green Bay Packers move forward with Jordan Love, the upcoming offseason should be used to build around him. But while having a young group of wide receivers has its perks, it also lacks valued experienced, which is where Mike Evans comes into the picture.
Evans has been a star for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, recording 1,000 receiving yards in each of his first nine NFL seasons. On his way to making it ten straight seasons, Evans might have to work on continuing that success elsewhere in 2024, and the Packers would be a good fit.
AUSTIN EKELER – LOS ANGELES RAMS
During the 2023 NFL offseason, it was reported that Austin Ekeler was seeking a trade from the Los Angeles Chargers. But nothing came of it, and Ekeler suited up for the team. Now, with Ekeler set to hit the free agent market, he could be on the move in 2024.
Ekeler might end up playing for the same city, only in a different jersey. The Los Angeles Rams are looking for a way back to the top, and solidifying the running back position with a pass-catching back like Ekeler would be a good place to start.
RYAN TANNEHILL – ATLANTA FALCONS
The Atlanta Falcons have a young quarterback in Desmond Ridder, who has flashed a lot of potential on the field. But in-between flashes, Ridder was benched. His future with the Falcons now relies on his development.
Next season, the Falcons might want to bring in a veteran quarterback to take on the starting role while Ridder continues to develop. Ryan Tannehill, a quarterback who can adjust to different systems, would work for the Falcons’ immediate future.
TEE HIGGINS – ARIZONA CARDINALS
Playing wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals means playing behind Ja’Marr Chase. There are only a few receivers in the NFL at Chase’s elite level. Chase is a rare talent, but that doesn’t mean Tee Higgins can’t hold his own.
With free agency on the horizon for Higgins, he will test the market. If Higgins does sign elsewhere, a solid spot would be with the Arizona Cardinals, who are now rebuilding. With Kyler Murray at quarterback, Higgins would have chance to be the team’s top receiver.
JOSH JACOBS – CAROLINA PANTHERS
If the Carolina Panthers are willing to spend on the running back market, they should take a chance on offering Josh Jacobs a contract. Bryce Young is still learning the NFL’s style of play, so a top-level running back would help the process along.
Jacobs has been vocal about the way running backs are paid in the NFL, and while negotiating with the Las Vegas Raiders, he managed to receive an increased franchise tag. But in the offseason, Jacobs will be looking to sign a muti-year deal.
CALVIN RIDELY – KANSAS CITY CHIEFS
The idea of a tight end being a team’s top receiver is not common. But such is the case with the Kansas City Chiefs and Travis Kelce. The system works, and Patrick Mahomes manages to throw for big yards with a wide receiver by committee situation.
But the addition of another receiver is something the Chiefs will seek during the offseason. After Tyreek Hill left the team, the Chiefs have been searching for someone to fill that role. A role perhaps too big to fill, but it’s worth giving Calvin Ridley a shot.
SAQUON BARKLEY – TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS
The 2023 NFL offseason saw running backs at the center of many pay level conversations. This led to little in terms of agreements as star players starting signing franchise tags. One of which was Saquon Barkley, who the New York Giants might let walk after this season.
If so, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers would benefit in a big way from adding Barkley to their roster. A team searching for something in their ground game, Barkley remains one of the league’s top backs and could be what the Buccaneers need to get going.
KIRK COUSINS – MINNESOTA VIKINGS
There is an undeniable connection between Kirk Cousins and Justin Jefferson, one that the Minnesota Vikings would like to lock up for the long term as the franchise looks to sign both players to new contracts.
In the absence of Cousins, Joshua Dobbs is tasked with taking the Vikings to the playoffs, and the traveled quarterback is up for the challenge. There remains a lot to be seen this season, but when it’s over, the Vikings and Cousins should come to terms on a new deal.
