Multiple sources have reported that NFL tight end Darren Waller and Kelsey Plum are heading toward a divorce after just one year of marriage.
There were rumors that the pair went through a rough patch in January. Waller took to social media to make light of the claims, although he was the one who fueled it in a previous clip.
According to News3LV, online records show that the NFL player and the WNBA star filed a joint petition for divorce in Clark County District Court. TMZ Sports notes neither party will receive any spousal support based on the filing.
Plum seemed to confirm that she and Waller were ending their marriage in an emotional social media post shared this Tuesday.
“I’m devastated,” she wrote. “I walked through fire for that man, but now I see it’s time to go. God has given me an incredible life, and I’m truly so grateful for the profound love from my family and friends, One day I’ll share my story, today is not that day. Thank you for the grace to process my pain, to forgive and move forward. Today and everyday I will continue to choose joy. Much love KP.”

Darren Waller And Kelsey Plum Were Together For A While
Darren Waller and Kelsey Plum were in a relationship for several years before marrying last March. As noted above, talk of a breakdown in the relationship has been going on for some time. Despite the denial earlier in the year, it appears things have really come to a head.
Waller, a 2020 Pro Bowler who spent last season playing for the New York Giants after spells with the Baltimore Ravens and Las Vegas Raiders, is considering retirement.
Plum, a point guard for the Las Vegas Aces, is a two-time WNBA All-Star and a two-time champion who has dabbled in broadcasting and coaching.
