The NFL is being accused of rigging the schedule in favor of Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets at the expense of Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.
The full league schedule is out now, so teams know exactly who and when they’re set to play in 2023/24. But Warren Sharp has discovered some interesting facts ahead of the campaign, pointing them out in a thread that’s definitely worth checking out.
Sharp reckons that the league has been trying to make the Jets relevant for many years as they play in New York, the biggest media market, but have been very bad over the last several seasons.
It would be quite surprising if the Jets still suck next season as they’ve brought in multiple key pieces, including four-time MVP Aaron Rodgers.
Sharp, who deals in analytics and data, has pointed out that the Jets will be getting more rest between games relative to other teams, while the Chiefs will have the least amount, making their title defense a lot harder.

It’s been suggested that things are being stacked in favor of NY as the league wants them to win the Super Bowl next season, though it’s hard to prove that the league did this on purpose as there are some things they simply can’t control.
It is worth noting that the NFL will make a lot more money if the big-market Jets are successful. So is Sharp on to something here or might this be a coincidence?
