Last season, Joe Burrow led all rookie quarterbacks with a 76 overall rating after he came off a 2019 season where he put up an outrageous 5,671 yards, 60 touchdowns, six interception 2019 season at LSU.
None of the incoming rookie quarterbacks are coming into their rookie season with a season like that, so it is expected for them to have much lower ratings. Some of those QB’s were asked about it, and they were all completely delusional.
San Francisco 49ers quarterback Trey Lance believes he would receive an 88 rating “because I can do a lot of things, I can make plays.”
New England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones thinks “my Madden rating would be lower than people give me credit for.” He gave himself an 85.
New York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson gave himself a 90 rating because “it’s okay, but not great, because I haven’t done anything yet.”
Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields predicted his Madden rating will be between 78 and 81, “of course, because, rookies.”
