The NFL is reportedly reviewing a play from Sunday night’s game between the Denver Broncos and Minnesota Vikings for potential punishment following the former’s SNF win.
The Broncos have won four straight as they beat the Minnesota Vikings 21-20 on the night, but the victory may have come at a cost given that there’s now an investigation in play.
According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, safety Kareem Jackson’s hit on quarterback Josh Dobbs is being looked at. Jackson has found himself in hot water with the league over repeated dangerous plays and just came off a two-game suspension, which leaves him in danger of another ban.
“The NFL is reviewing #Broncos safety Kareem Jackson’s hit on #Vikings QB Josh Dobbs on Sunday night for potential discipline,” Pelissero wrote on X. “Jackson just returned from a two-game suspension, so a violation could trigger another suspension. No flag was thrown.”
That was nasty from Jackson but Dobbs managed to finish the game, throwing for 221 yards and one touchdown on 62.5 percent passing.
Denver will be hoping the player can avoid another suspension as they’ve been playing very well as of late. They should learn their fate soon enough.
