NFL fans were making all sorts of jokes after it was pointed out that the “End Racism” slogan on endzones is getting replaced.
While this might not be a league-wide thing, we could see the end of social justice phrases in said areas in the upcoming season.
The NFL started painting the aforementioned words, as well as “It Takes All of Us” in endzones three years ago. However, a fan noticed the slogan was replaced with “play football” during Sunday’s preseason fixture between Super Bowl winners the Kansas City Chiefs and the Cleveland Browns at Arrowhead Stadium.
This resulted in several sarcastic reactions, some of which you can see below:

The Chiefs edged the Browns out with a 33-32 win on the night, with backup quarterback Blaine Gabbert going 10-of-18 for 169 passing yards, two touchdowns, and one interception.
Ihmir Smith-Marsette had a standout game as he registered 101 receiving yards from four catches, adding a TD.
As for the slogan, we won’t have to wait that long to find out whether the NFL is getting rid of it altogether. The 2023/24 season is set to kick off on September 7, when the Chiefs take on the Detroit Lions at home.
