Over the past few weeks, we have seen and heard about several athletes suddenly passing out or collapsing on or off the field or court of play.
The most recent one was Old Dominion sophomore Imo Essien who suddenly fell to the ground during a recent game against Georgia Southern. The Old Dominion sophomore guard was on the defensive side of the ball when he fell onto his backside on the court. Essien struggled to get back to his feet and started to lay down on his back appearing to be in pain.
That video got former Old Dominion running back Ray Lawry III to speak out about his own experiences since he got the vaccine. He detailed passing out three times for unknown reasons.
“Never had any heart/medical problems in my life. Post vaccine I randomly passed out 3 times. Not a conspiracy theorist, just sharing what happened to me. This needs to seriously be looked into. Too many young people randomly passing out.”
Lawry was drafted by the Bengals in 2018, but did not record any NFL stats.
In college, he rushed for 4,080 yards. He scored 45 touchdowns, averaged 6.2 yards per carry, 95 yards per game, and ran for 100 yards 21 times.
