Just when you thought things were about to slow down this offseason, what with Deshaun Watson finally being moved, we’re served another insane blockbuster deal out of nowhere.
This time, it was the Kansas City Chiefs granting Tyreek Hill permission to seek a trade Wednesday morning. And it didn’t take long for the wideout to find a new home, as the Miami Dolphins agreed to send a total of five draft picks (including a first rounder for this year’s draft) to the Chiefs in exchange for the six-time Pro Bowler.
To say that this was unexpected would be an understatement. According to several reports since the trade was made, it appears as though the Chiefs and Hill were close to reaching an extension. But as soon as Davante Adams went out and shifted the entire market with his new deal in Vegas, talks between K.C. and Hill broke down.
That led to what unfolded today, as Hill will now team up with Jaylen Waddle and Tua Tagovailoa in South Beach. It was a wild turn of events that sent the NFL world into a frenzy.
And, as is always the case, many of the league’s most vocal players took to Twitter to give their insight. Here’s how some of them reacted:

Miami Dolphins players were obviously ecstatic about the news… in case it’s hard to tell:
Meanwhile, Jets players were noticeable distraught over the fact that they just missed out on snagging one of the game’s top wideouts:
His now-former teammate, Chris Jones, didn’t quite know what to say about the move.
Meanwhile, Chiefs running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire seemed to have plenty to say:
With the AFC West adding so many star playmakers, it must be a relief for the players within that division to finally see a superstar on his way out. It’ll be interesting to see what the Chiefs plan to do from here.
