Has Baker Mayfield lived up to the hype after being drafted by the Cleveland Browns? Absolutely not.
Years after the draft, and now being traded, does that mean he is one of the worst QBs in the league. Absolutely not.
NFL Network analyst Michael Robinson is getting crushed for suggesting that when he said on Tuesday that Mayfield doesn’t have one of the top-64 arms in the National Football League.
“(Baker Mayfield) might not be one of the top ?? arms in the National Football League,” he said.
Mike Robinson did not stop there with his criticism of Mayfield. He thinks that the Panthers have acquired a quarterback that isn’t as good as last year’s starter, Sam Darnold:
“Sam Darnold’s arm talent is better than Baker Mayfield’s. I challenge anybody any talent evaluate just go watch both of them throw the football. The ball jumps out of Sam Darnold’s hands.”

Mayfield played through some injuries last year and wound up throwing 17 touchdowns compared to 13 interceptions with a completion percentage over 60 percent. Just the year prior, he led the Browns to the playoffs and even defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Wild Card round.
“He’s top 10, maybe top 5. Madden had him 3rd going into last season. Hand cannon, not really a debate. Distance and velocity, right near the top. Maybe this dude was talking about Minshew or somebody else, lost his way?,” wrote JSS.
Robinson, who won the Super Bowl with the Seattle Seahawks, is clearly not sold on Baker Mayfield. The Carolina Panthers seem to have finally found their quarterback after trading for Baker Mayfield.
