The NFL has made a significant schedule change for Week 17 that should please 90-plus percent of football fans.
Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the NFL has moved the Green Bay Packers-Minnesota Vikings Week 17 game to the 4:25 p.m. late afternoon slot. The Dallas Cowboys-Philadelphia Eagles contest has been bumped from that time up to 1:00 p.m. EST.
Dallas (7-8) has been eliminated from the playoff race, so their road game in Philly (12-3) carries minimal postseason expectations. The Vikings (13-2) are vying for the NFC’s top record, while the Packers (10-4) are trying to hold off the 10-5 Washington Commanders for the No. 6 seed.
Schedule change: NFL shifted Sunday’s Cowboys-Eagles game to 1 pm ET and the Packers-Vikings game to 4:25 pm ET.

The NFL has made several schedule changes for Week 17 already, but it looks like everything is now set in order. Last week, the league moved the Miami Dolphins-Cleveland Browns game out of the “Sunday Night Football” in favor of the Atlanta Falcons’ road game against the Washington Commanders.
As well, three games were moved up to Saturday: Los Angeles Chargers at New England Patriots (1:00 p.m. EST), Denver Broncos at Cincinnati Bengals (4:30 p.m. EST) and Arizona Cardinals at Los Angeles Rams (8:15 p.m. EST).

Other Games To Follow Closely In Week 17
This week may mark the best slate of games for the 2024 NFL season. We’ll also be treated to two Christmas Day games featuring four of the AFC’s top teams: Kansas City Chiefs at Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens at Houston Texans.
The San Francisco 49ers may have been eliminated from postseason contention, but their “Monday Night Football” clash with the Detroit Lions should still be a thrilling game. The 49ers have pride to play for as they wrap up a miserable season, and there’d be nothing sweeter than taking down the NFC’s No. 1 team and spoiling their chances of securing a first-round bye.
