Eagles head of security Dom DiSandro, A.K.A “Big Dom” became an instant Philly hero when he challenged an opposing player after a cheap shot on wide receiver DeVonta Smith. But fans won’t get to see him this weekend.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Big Dom won’t be allowed back on the sideline when the Eagles play the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night due to his spat with 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw.
Schefter reports that DiSandro and other team officials met with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell on Friday morning and it was decided that, while he will be able to travel with the Eagles and perform his regular duties, he will not be on the sideline during the game.
The league is said to be still mulling over further punishment and is reviewing “additional material.”
Meanwhile, Greenlaw has revealed that he and DiSandro apologized to each other following the incident that saw both of them kicked off the field.
