An NFL tight end was revealed to have suffered a deep leg gash resulting from getting hit by a car this week.
Jimmy Graham, a five-time Pro Bowl player, is not officially retired as he’s yet to announce as much. But he didn’t play in the NFL last season and it appears he’s keen on sailing across the entire planet.
That is according to A.J. Hawk, who disclosed as much on the Pat McAfee show this Wednesday while casually stating that the former New Orleans Saints star had gotten hit by a car the previous day.
Hawk claimed to have seen photos of Graham’s injury, noting the tight end had a deep gash in his leg that exposed much tissue, though he did imply that Graham was in great spirits as he said the car came off worse.
“He’s like a professional cyclist,” Hawk said. “He was riding his bike down in Miami yesterday or two days ago – I got pictures. Car turns left, hits him, takes him out. He says he did more damage to the car than the car did to him.
“He has a slice on his calf that looks like he had worms growing out of it was so deep and all the stuff in it. He has tons of stitches and all that.”

Hawk would also reveal Graham’s plans to sail around the world.
“He’s on a boat and he has somebody like a captain that trains him and teaches him everything. Then, he goes on little short two-, three-day trips now,” the former linebacker said.
Graham confirmed the injury via his Instagram Story, thanking fans for their support while claiming the pain left him feeling like it was a Monday after a game.
A third-round pick in 2010, Graham spent the first five seasons of his career with the Saints, later moving to the Seattle Seahawks. He spent his last campaign with the Chicago Bears after a season with the Green Bay Packers.
