Another NFL insider has linked Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady to the Las Vegas Raiders.
In recent weeks, the Brady-to-Vegas rumors have started to heat up for several obvious reasons. For starters, his Buccaneers have performed well below expectations and simply don’t look like a Super Bowl contender. If Brady decides to play in 2023, it’s safe to believe he’d want to seek a fresh start.
Secondly, the Raiders look poised to move on from quarterback Derek Carr, whom the Raiders announced will be benched for the final two games of the season. It’s a strong sign that the team will trade or release Carr, who signed a three-year extension in the offseason.
Responding to a fan’s question on Twitter, KOA Colorado’s Benjamin Allbright stated, “People who usually know these things have been connecting Tom Brady” to the Raiders.
Raiders head coach Josh McDaniels served as Brady’s offensive coordinator in New England, and the former was on staff for all six of the Patriots’ Super Bowl championships. Throw in the lack of a state tax in Nevada, and there’s good reason to believe the Raiders will be a front-runner for Brady should he decide to return for a 24th NFL season.
