We’ve seen a lot of quarterback movement over the past couple of offseason, and 2022 is shaping up to be no different.
The most popular name that’s presumed to be on the market is reigning NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers. Many expect the QB-needy Denver Broncos to go all out for his services. But don’t you dare for a second think that GM George Paton and company don’t have a backup plan.
According to NFL insider Benjamin Allbright, if Rodgers is unavailable this offseason, the Broncos have every intention to pursue Russell Wilson, who appears to be on his way out of Seattle after beginning his career there in 2012.
Rumors of Wilson departing from Seattle have been swirling for a while now, as he’s been said to be disgruntled with the organization for the past couple of years. However, this offseason is shaping up to be the one where Wilson and the Seahawks finally part ways.
The star quarterback even scrubbed his current team from his twitter account recently:

If Wilson is available, the Broncos would be wise to do whatever it takes to get him. They’ve been a quarterback away from contending for a Super Bowl for a few years now. Adding one of Wilson’s caliber would immediately make them one of the teams to beat in the AFC.
