If Lamar Jackson cannot get the deal he wants with the Baltimore Ravens, it appears he may already have his next destination set.
If the two sides cannot come to an agreement, the Ravens are likely to hit him with the non-exclusive franchise tag. That would allow other teams to negotiate with him and sign an offer sheet. Should the Ravens not match, the former league MVP could be on his way top a new team in 2023 in exchange for two first-round draft picks.
One NFL insider thinks Jackson may want to take his talents back to his home state.
ProFootballTalk’s Mike Florio recently highlighted how the Dolphins could land Jackson after the 2023 draft.
“If Jackson doesn’t sign an offer sheet with another team before the draft, the Dolphins could sign Jackson to an offer sheet after the draft. Then, if the Ravens don’t match, Baltimore would get Miami’s first-round picks in 2024 and 2025.”
As of now, the Miami Dolphins are committed to Tua Tagovailoa as their starting QB. However, it’s hard to ignore the ramifications of his health going forward after multiple concussions suffered during the 2022 season.
Tagovailoa’s career-best season totaled 3,548 passing yards, 25 touchdowns and eight interceptions in 13 games played.

Jackson also had a setback this past year with injuries, but he is a former MVP that could change the fortunes of the Dolphins, especially with giving him a WR like Tyreek Hill.
