The New York Jets were in the running for Tyreek Hill. Unfortunately, they wound up losing out to the Miami Dolphins.
Reports suggested that the Kansas City Chiefs had actually accepted an offer from the New York Jets that didn’t even include a first-round pick.
However, Hill was given the final chose, and he opted for South Beach. The move gives the Miami Dolphins another big time weapon at wideout, while leaving the Jets still in desperate need of one.
The good news for New York is they have a boatload of draft picks this year, including four within the first 38 picks. They could always use one or two of those selections on a wideout. This draft has plenty of good ones.
Or, they would always try and use those picks to trade for another already established star wideout. ESPN’s Rich Cimini hinted at this possibility, specifically pointing at three young superstars: A.J. Brown, Deebo Samuel and D.K. Metcalf.
Cimini points to the ties that all three have with the Jets, as both Brown and Metcalf played with current Jets wideout Elijah Moore at Ole Miss, while head coach Robert Salah got a close look at Samuel during their time together in San Fran.

Of course, actually acquiring one of those elite wideouts may be easier said than done. But it’s not all that hard to imagine when you consider what we’ve already seen so far this offseason.
And then there’s A.J. Brown’s social media account, which seems to be hinting at the possibility of something big happening soon. Could be be referring to a trade to the Jets?
