On Thursday, it was reported that Antonio Brown was being accused of obtaining a fake COVID-19 vaccination card, according to the Tampa Bay Times.
Steven Ruiz — a former personal chef for the wide receiver — claimed that Brown had his current model girlfriend, model Cydney Moreau, reach out to Ruiz over the summer to obtain a fake vaccination card that said Brown had received the Johnson & Johnson shot. According to text messages provided by Ruiz, Moreau offered $500 for a fake card.
Adam Beasley of Pro Football Network, formerly of the Miami Herald, seemed to confirm that these type of rumors were out there for some time as he claimed Brown even offered his fake vaccination card hookup to others around the league.
The NFL’s Vice President of Communications Brian McCarthy told CNN that the league is aware of the accusations and have been in contact with the Buccaneers.
“We are aware of the report and have been in contact with the club. We will review the matter,” McCarthy said.
The Buccaneers have since released a statement on the matter.

In the meantime, Brown is willing to take a booster shot on Live TV to prove his status.
Brown’s attorney, Sean Burstyn, told ESPN’s Jenna Laine on Thursday that Brown is vaccinated, adding, “If Antonio’s doctors and the guidelines require a booster shot, then at that time, he’ll be happy to do it live on TV and everyone can come watch.”
Brown has been out of action for weeks now over his foot injury.
